To produce a harmonious mix of color and textures for the desired effects, we are using plasters imported from Italy that contain slaked lime and marble dust. The use of lime in the building industry is an old European tradition requiring a very good preparation and knowledge. The benefits of lime plasters are that they provide long lasting beauty, environmentally friendly, natural stone body and depth, and breathable.

Venetian Plaster is an age old art, it is a craft and art form which has been handed down through the centuries. Pislaru Studios has been applying many different styles of venetian plaster for the last 20+ years. We service both commercial and residential projects. Many of our plasters are imported from Italy, and cure back to limestone within 28-30 days timeframe. Venetian Plaster is a term which refers to plasters which are applied with an Italian trowel on the wall, ceiling, columns, arches, etc. Several layers of plaster are applied to achieve the desired effect.

Venetian Plaster, which encompasses all sorts of varying looks (smooth polished, rustic, tuscan, contemporary etc.), enchance the beauty of your home and serve to strengthen the substrate (sheetrock or wall structure). True lime based plasters become more beautiful over time, and last a lifetime. Some of the lime plasters we import are environmentally green products. They are non-toxic, mold resistant, dust mite resistant, and fire resistant.

We can assemble crews to handle projects of any size, whether large or small. We offer quite a variety of finishes which range from the smooth marble like appearance to the rustic old world style. We can create any style you wish. We work closely with you during the creative process to help form the vision and finish you desire. Any particular subject and painting style can be designed as per client requirements, and painted directly on the walls or ceiling. Ornamental finishes can be done free hand painted or using custom cut stencils. Murals, grisaille and trompe l'oeil can be painted in a traditional way: directly on your walls, or painted on a canvas or muslim in our studio and mounted on the walls after.
